Tofu, a staple in many Eastern cuisines, remains relatively unfamiliar to Western palates. Yet, its versatility offers a big potential in Dutch and broader Western kitchens. This insight became the driving force behind the innovation journey we were privileged to facilitate for Vivera.
Our food design journey began with crafting a clear strategic vision for the future, centred on how to grow in plant-based proteins. From there, our innovation path unfolded through trend exploration, brainstorming sessions, concept development, and consumer testing. As a result, Vivera revitalised its product portfolio with both basic tofu options and innovative, ready-to-use offerings.
The new organic base range includes a soft tofu, extra-firm tofu, and a rich smoked tofu – perfect as a versatile cooking ingredient for many recipes. Adding a playful twist, Vivera introduced also two ‘Tofusion’ products, where tofu meets vegetables in a convenient, pan-ready format for quick, flavourful meals.
Enjoying tofu starts with knowing how to prepare it to unlock its full flavour potential. To support these products, Vivera launched the “How to Tofu?” website, packed with inspiring recipes designed to make cooking with this protein powerhouse easy, delicious, and healthy for everyone.
